FAQ'S
The material left behind after grinding — including wood chips and sawdust — can be repurposed as mulch, used in compost, spread along garden paths, or worked into soil to improve drainage. Many homeowners find it useful around the yard, but if you prefer a clean finish, we’ve got you covered.
At Stump Grinding Pros of Georgia, we offer several cleanup options to suit your preference:
• Leave the wood chips on-site at no extra cost
• Remove the wood chips entirely
• Remove chips and backfill the area with fill dirt
• Remove chips, fill with topsoil, and apply grass seed for lawn restoration
We tailor each cleanup to your needs, so your yard looks great when we’re done.
Stump grinding doesn’t leave a gaping hole like full stump removal. Instead, it leaves a shallow, mulch-filled dip where the stump once was. This can be easily leveled with soil or filled in to match the surrounding landscape.
At Stump Grinding Pros of Georgia, we take care to minimize disruption and leave your yard looking clean and even. Optional fill services are also available if you want the area restored right away.
Grass might grow through stump grindings eventually, but it’s not the best environment on its own. The wood chips can slow down decomposition and make it harder for grass to establish. Mixing in topsoil creates a healthier base and speeds up the process.
At Stump Grinding Pros of Georgia, we offer optional services to remove the grindings, fill the area with topsoil, and plant grass seed — making it easy to restore your lawn right away.
